Hologram Security Labels|Holographic Labels and Custom Anti-Counterfeit Printing

Hologram security labels are security labels that combine holographic optical technology with anti-counterfeit printing design. Because holographic effects cannot be fully reproduced by ordinary scanning, photocopying, or color printing equipment, and because they are easy to recognize with the naked eye, they are widely used for brand protection, product authentication, authorization marks, warranty seals, and high-value product identification.

Many people think a hologram label is simply a shiny sticker. In fact, a small holographic security label can integrate multiple layers of anti-counterfeit technology, such as flip image effects, microtext, hidden hologram codes, guilloche patterns, serial numbers, QR Codes, and tamper-evident structures.

Even manufacturers with the capability to produce hologram labels would find it difficult to reproduce an identical custom hologram security label. This is one of the reasons why holographic labels hold such strong trust value in the field of security printing.

Quick Navigation

Custom Hologram Security Labels

Custom hologram security labels are created by redesigning the holographic pattern according to brand requirements. Logos, trademarks, background patterns, images, text, and multiple anti-counterfeit features can be integrated into a single label.

These labels do not use color ink to imitate a holographic effect. Instead, special optical patterns are formed through holographic plate-making and embossing processes.

Custom hologram labels are suitable for products that require higher levels of security, brand recognition, and long-term stability, such as electronics, licensed products, healthcare products, luxury packaging, tickets and certificates, warranty labels, and brand security seals.

This is a custom hologram label for D-Link. The logo, background pattern, and related effects are produced using holographic laser technology, rather than color ink printing.

Holographic Flip Image Effects

Custom hologram labels can be designed with highly recognizable holographic flip image effects. When the label is viewed or rotated from different angles, different images, text, or patterns can appear in sequence.

This type of flip image effect is highly visible and easy to recognize. Since it cannot be reproduced by ordinary color printing, it is especially suitable as an anti-counterfeit feature that allows consumers to quickly identify authenticity.

Hidden Microtext

Custom hologram security labels can include covert security features, such as hidden microtext. Compared with general printing processes, the microtext in hologram labels can be made even smaller and may only be visible from specific viewing angles or under high-magnification conditions.

This type of hidden security design is not easily noticed by counterfeiters. When combined with other advanced covert anti-counterfeit technologies, it can further increase the difficulty of reproduction. Even if counterfeiters obtain a label sample, they may still find it difficult to fully analyze the security structure inside the label.

Hidden microtext can be seen in the corner under a high-magnification lens. Because it is highly concealed, it is extremely difficult to imitate.

Hidden Hologram Codes

A hidden hologram code is a type of security information embedded within a hologram security label. This information cannot be directly recognized by the naked eye and requires a specially designed reading device or decoding tool to inspect the hidden code inside the label.

Hidden hologram codes are suitable for products with higher security requirements. They can be used by brand owners, auditors, distributors, or internal verification teams. Since the reading method is not easily accessible to ordinary consumers, it also helps reduce the chance of reverse engineering by counterfeiters.

Guilloche Pattern

A guilloche pattern, also known as a security background pattern, is composed of complex, fine, and continuous lines that form a specific design. These lines may appear regular at first glance, but they involve a high level of design complexity and are commonly used in banknotes, value documents, certificates, and security documents.

Adding a guilloche pattern to a hologram security label gives the label a function similar to a fingerprint. Even if counterfeiters attempt to redraw every line, it is difficult to match the original perfectly. In addition, the holographic pattern itself cannot be reproduced by scanning or photocopying, further increasing the security level.

The background of the hologram label is overlaid with a guilloche security pattern. The holographic pattern cannot be scanned, and the complex lines are difficult to redraw one by one. Similar to a fingerprint, it looks simple but is extremely difficult to imitate.

Stock Hologram Labels|A Solution for Small-Quantity Needs

If a brand is still testing the market, has a smaller quantity requirement, or has not yet reached the production quantity needed for custom hologram plate-making, stock hologram security labels can be a more suitable small-quantity customization solution.

Stock hologram labels use holographic films designed, plated, and produced by Holo Solution. These materials are not standard materials that can be purchased directly on the market. Therefore, even as stock patterns, they still provide a certain level of confidentiality and anti-counterfeit value.

Brands can print their logo, text, serial numbers, random codes, or QR Codes on stock hologram labels to quickly create security labels with brand identification.

Micro-Lens Hologram Security Labels|Micro-Lens Array

Micro-lens hologram security labels are a special type of stock security label developed by Holo Solution. These labels use micro-lens and logical optical pattern technologies to embed hidden images or information inside the label. A special reading film is required to reveal the hidden ® mark.

With this design, brands can obtain hologram labels with high anti-counterfeit value even under small-quantity customization conditions. Micro-lens labels are especially suitable for security applications that require small quantities, quick implementation, and a special verification method.

We use a refractive embossing process to overlay custom patterns onto micro-lens security labels.

The hidden ® mark inside the micro-lens security label can be seen through a special reading film.

Stock Hologram Security Labels

Holo Solution’s stock hologram labels are all designed and plated in-house. The same materials cannot be purchased on the market, which gives them strong confidentiality. Customers can print custom logos, brand names, product information, or security text on stock hologram labels, turning them into brand-specific hologram security labels.

In addition to brand identification, stock hologram labels can also be combined with variable data printing for distributor management, sales quantity management, product tracking, and anti-counterfeit verification. Serial numbers, random codes, QR Codes, or cloud authentication codes can all be integrated into the label.

Custom content such as text or logos can be printed with ink on Holo Solution’s exclusive holographic film, allowing small-quantity hologram label production. Although the security level is lower than that of custom hologram labels, the holographic film is exclusive to Holo Solution and still offers a high level of confidentiality.

Laser Engraved Custom Information and Serial Numbers

In addition to ink printing, stock hologram labels can also be customized by laser engraving to add custom information and serial numbers.

Laser engraving cuts through the metallic layer inside the hologram label, while the label surface does not show obvious raised or recessed texture. Since the brand information, serial number, or security content is embedded into the label structure, it cannot be removed with organic solvents and is difficult to alter.

This method is suitable for applications that require serial number management, tamper-resistant marking, product tracking, or brand identification.

Hollowed-out security labels are made by laser engraving custom information onto Holo Solution’s exclusive holographic material. Compared with ink printing, laser engraving provides an anti-tampering function because the engraved content cannot be altered or removed.
