Making copies is a simple and faster method for counterfeiting. Most of the anti-counterfeiting effects from Holo solution are unable to be copied intact. However, it is not easy for the general users to distinguish the copied ones from the original piece. Some important documents do not need to be entirely prohibited from making copies; instead, it is necessary to easily identify the original from the copied pieces, such as inspection reports, contracts, certificates, testimonial, and guarantees certificates, etc. Only if it is easy to identify the original from the duplicate can both parties’ interests be well protected, and the original copy’s authority and sense of value can be well validated.
Principle and Pros and Cons of Anti-Copy Paper
Anti-copying is a kind of security background line. Some regular textures can be seen before making copies without feeling much difference, but some specific patterns would appear on the copied pieces, which make identification much easier.
Advantages: High threshold for printing technology and anti-counterfeiting design, making it difficult to replicate. Easy to identify without special equipment. The densely distributed background pattern also helps prevent unauthorized alterations.
Disadvantages: The visibility of hidden text in copies varies in effectiveness depending on the photocopier used. However, there are usually significant differences from the original document, such as patterns being too faint, too dark, or incomplete and blurry, making it still easy to distinguish the original copy. In cases where stricter requirements are needed, it is recommended to layer other anti-counterfeiting printing technologies, such as invisible ink, holographic foil stamping, etc.

Micro text (fine characters, extremely tiny characters)
Micro text is a very simple and effective means of anti-counterfeiting measure. The printing equipment needs to be adjusted to the most precise status for printing extremely small characters. The small characters can be hidden at wherever places not easy to find, so that counterfeiters are not able to forge, and let alone re-producing through copying. For the current printing level’s regard, whatever fonts smaller than 0.3mm (1pt) are classified as micro text, which need to be assisted by magnifying glass for viewing clearly. It depends on the printing condition differences, there surely are other methods for making even smaller characters, but there could be different constrains accordingly.
Registered Embossing
Similar to the embossing effect of steel stamps, it adds texture to the paper beyond color, giving it a restrained and tactile charm. Steel stamps also imply a sense of fairness and credibility.

"Refractive embossing" or "holographic stamping" cannot be replicated through photocopying and can be easily identified as genuine copies by the naked eye. The invisible fluorescent ink is not easily noticeable under visible light, but the hidden graphics and text become clearly visible under UV light sources. This invisible anti-counterfeiting effect not only prevents photocopying but also makes counterfeiters prone to expose flaws due to their unawareness.
Anti-copy watermark patterns
"The anti-copy watermark features diamond-shaped interference patterns, which help obscure hidden graphics and text, making it more difficult to detect them when viewed with the naked eye. There are two types of diamond patterns, large and small. The smaller diamond pattern is more delicate and less conspicuous, while the larger one, when copied, highlights the differences between the original and the copy more prominently. Alternatively, you can choose not to include the diamond pattern, but the downside is that hidden graphics and text are more easily discernible to the naked eye."
Will the printed text be unclear?
Many customers worry that printing text on anti-copy watermarks may be unclear or affect aesthetics. Through our experience in various scenarios, we've found that this is not a major concern. The anti-copy watermark is like an evenly distributed watermark across the page, and it generally does not have much impact on situations such as certificates and documents that do not require prolonged reading.
